Codex, Claude Code, and similar agents are easiest to trust when you can steer them quickly.

When terminal sessions drift, developers repeat the same short controls: stay in scope, inspect the diff, run the relevant tests, stop and reset.

ult is a local menu-bar control surface for those moments. It keeps reusable prompts and explicit context outside the agent until you choose what to inject into a terminal session.
